About Me

I began my educational ventures in dietetics during my time at Lansing Community College. I had always been interested in food and nutrition outside of school, but never thought of it as a career choice. After taking my first general nutrition course, I was hooked. I transferred to Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics in 2015. After months of researching dietetic internships across the country, I stumbled on Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI. At that time, they were developing a brand new coordinated internship program, where I then completed a 1200 hour dietetic internship and earned my Master of Science in Clinical Dietetics. Two months following graduation in February of 2018, I passed the registration exam. I got my first job as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in an outpatient private practice setting which I have fallen in love with since. My career goals have always included having a private practice where I could work with individuals one on one who want to achieve their food and nutrition goals without feeling overwhelmed with dieting tactics and restrictive meal plans!

My Approach

Through the years, society has created the illusion that we will only find happiness and be considered healthy if we conform to a specific (and completely unrealistic for most of the general population) body shape and size.

If you've spent years on the diet roller coaster or have engaged in disordered eating patterns, your hunger/fullness cues may be faulty and structured eating may be a necessary first step toward reconnecting with your body's internal cues.

I work with you to do exactly that by developing an individualized nutrition plan tailored to your food and health-related goals. We then explore introducing mindfulness and intuitive eating practices to help you build a better relationship with food and have fun in the process!

I practice as a non-diet, weight inclusive dietitian. I believe in the Health at Every Size approach to nutrition. Rather than weight and outward appearance being the primary concern for health, I support overall optimal health as the goal. The main focus of working together is focusing on supporting your body in the way that it needs to feel its best! I emphasize the point that life can be enjoyed and food can be an amazing experience for those at any size.
